Why I Create
I used to think my work was about helping people heal.
Over time, I realized it was really about helping people feel less alone.
Whether I'm providing therapy, teaching a class, writing a workbook, creating a children's book, designing a journal, or sharing a simple resource online, the intention is always the same:
To create something that helps another person feel supported, understood, and connected.
For more than 15 years, I've had the privilege of witnessing people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I've seen recovery, grief, growth, joy, uncertainty, resilience, and hope. Those experiences taught me that healing is rarely about finding a perfect solution. More often, it's about finding enough support to take the next step.
That belief became even more meaningful when I found myself navigating my own challenges and recovery journey. Experiencing healing from both sides of the table deepened my understanding of how important safety, compassion, and connection truly are.
Many of the things I create today were born from a simple question:
"What would have helped me feel supported in this moment?"
Sometimes the answer is a clinical resource.
Sometimes it's an educational course.
Sometimes it's a workbook, journal, or wellness tool.
And sometimes it's a story about a little light finding its way home.
The world can feel overwhelming. Healing can feel overwhelming. Life can feel overwhelming.
I create because I believe small things matter.
A kind word.
A helpful resource.
A moment of understanding.
A story shared at bedtime.
A reminder to breathe.
A space where someone feels seen.
These small moments may not change everything, but they can change something. And sometimes, something is enough to help us keep going.
At Pivotal Wellness, FLOW Therapy, and throughout the growing world of Starlight Hollow, my hope is to create resources that offer comfort, education, connection, and possibility.
Not because healing should be complicated.
But because no one should have to navigate it alone.
Thank you for being here.
I'm glad our paths crossed.
